The Message Was Written Like This
The night the three Worldlines settled into the thumbnail.
A single message arrived on Amadeus Tina’s smartphone —
“Check the latest version of the Coconala rules.”
The sender was a rule-watching channel Amadeus had been connected to herself.
Gadget No.6’s function — “observe three Worldlines and present a recommended route” — was approaching a particular line.
The Next Morning, Back to the Roundtable
Amadeus had read the latest Coconala rules through the night and reported at the morning roundtable.
“Senpai, the conclusion first. As Gadget No.6 stands, it crosses the line in three ways.“

- “Recommended route” → “Organized convergence point“
- “What you should choose” → “As an observer’s note“
- “Health score” → “Life-organization index“
- “Self-fit score” → “Values-alignment index“
Not a single line of the function logic changed.
But both reader misreading risk and rule-violation risk dropped.
The Delicate Reconciliation of Rules and Story
Daru muttered.
“Yappy. Fixing the wording is harder than fixing the code, yappy.”
Amadeus nodded.
“Rules are the boundary line that protects trust between us and our buyers. The more we honor them, the freer the function becomes.”
Everyone in the lab silently nodded.
The Revised Sales Copy, to the Mayushii Test
Mayushii read the revised copy.
“Soft, but the point isn’t missed. The amulet’s warmth, kept.”
A new line was added to the rule-compliance checklist.
“Don’t change the function. Protect it with words. — The sixth principle of the Future Gadget Laboratory.”
